Jason Mills (EMTP, LCPC) the CEO of the Resilient Responder is a retired FF/paramedic currently providing mental health counseling for first responders and their families. He retired from the Augusta Fire Department in 2022 after a 25-year career as a Lieutenant FF/Paramedic. In his 25 years as a first responder, he also worked as a Flight Medic for Life Flight of Maine. Jason utilizes his formal education in clinical mental health along with his experience as a first responder to provide support and practical solutions to other first responders. He is CIT (Crisis Intervention Team), CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management), ASAP (Acute Stress Adaptive Protocol), PEER Support certified, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) trained. He is also a Symbis certified marriage and relationship counselor. Jason is an adjunct faculty at Southern Maine Community College where he teaches Firefighter Health, Wellness, and Safety in the Fire Science Department.
