Rashawn Fulcher, a product of Oakland, California, has transformed from a college athlete and national champion into one of the youngest African American Fire Department Captains in his region. Known for his dynamic and forthright coaching style, Rashawn has engaged audiences from teens to professional athletes. Throughout his illustrious career, he has delivered presentations at various campuses, corporate training seminars, and high schools. His notable clients include The Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs, Coach Mike Dunlap of Loyola Marymount University, Assistant Coach Patrick Mutombo of the Toronto Raptors, Elk Grove Unified School District, I.O.T International Inc., and World Global Network.
As an athlete, Rashawn is a celebrated National Champion and was honored with the All-East Division First Team, All-Conference (RMAC), and was named Best Metro State College athlete (Best of Westward), along with being the Team Captain of an NCAA National Championship team. Professionally, Rashawn has not only excelled in his fire service career—achieving first in his class on the Captain's promotional exam—but he also holds certifications as a leadership trainer and maintains his Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certificate. Rashawn has been serving as a Fire Officer - Captain at the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District for over 21 years and holds a certification in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University. He is the author of "Coming Home: Rounding the bases of success to find your way home."
