Battalion Chief Curvin L. Wolfgang Jr., is a seasoned fire officer at York Area United Fire and Rescue in Pennsylvania. With over three decades of experience, he began as a volunteer firefighter in 1987, rising through the ranks to serve in various capacities, now serving as a Battalion Chief in Pennsylvania’s first regional Combination Fire Department.
His educational journey includes Baccalaureates in Fire Science and Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership. In 2023, he completed the National Fire Academy's Executive Officer's program and earned the Chief Fire Officer designation from the Center for Public Service Excellence.
In addition to his role at York Area United Fire and Rescue, he serves as the Eastern Director of the IAFC Executives Fire Officer's Section, where he influences fire service leadership development.
